Balikhand Degree College in Balasore, Odisha, was established in 1992. It is an affiliated college offering undergraduate courses primarily in arts and commerce. The college is a public-private partnership and has been operating for nearly three decades.
The college envisions to build itself an ideal educational institution by providing quality education to all its learners irrespective the caste creed and religion with an assurance of better future to them and make itself a learning centre of excellence and to undertake quality related research work and dreams of making man like man with responsibility of a good citizens to contribute for a healthy nation building.
Mission of the college is to bring out the potentiality that lies in the rural students by igniting knowledge candle in them in an incessant manner and to make them potent to complete with their counterparts and to help them lead purposeful better life by showing a clean path for journey in the main of life moreover the college envisions a dream of empowering rural girls with higher knowledge with a commitment of enhancing their employability and to provide ample scope to the disadvantaged students for improving their scholastic standard enabling them to engage themselves in various sectors with respectful living.
